Safe video chat, built into the product
Random chat only works if people feel safe. These are the rules we build into the product, not just into a policy page.
Adults only
Strangerio is for people 18 and older. Anyone who appears to be under 18 is removed immediately, and reports about minors are our top priority.
Safe start
Every video starts blurred. A detection model running on your own device checks the picture before it's shown, and hides nudity automatically during the call. Nothing is uploaded for this check.
One-tap reporting
Report anyone in one tap. You can attach a snapshot as evidence. The person is never told who reported them, and you'll never be matched with them again.
Fast, fair bans
Repeated reports from different people lead to an automatic suspension that grows with each offense. There are no paid unbans. Every ban can be appealed and a human reviews it.
Your privacy
No account, no email, no phone number. Calls are encrypted and always routed through our own servers, so your IP address is never shared with the other person. We never sell your data.
Staying safe
Never share personal details, passwords or money with strangers. Links are blocked in chat for your protection. If something feels wrong, press Next or Stop. You're always in control.
